The Jakobstad - Pietarsaari Museum
Step in to the Malm House, our town museum, at Storgatan 2, Jakobstad. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 12-4 pm.
The museum office at Storgatan 4 is open weekdays 9 am-3 pm.
The museum also has an Exhibition centre TEMPUS.

Groups from the city’s schools have free admission to the museum’s exhibitions. For others, the guidingfee is 40 €/group weekdays 8 am to 4 pm,
and after 4 pm the guiding fee is 60 €/group. Sundays 80€/group.

Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum Joins Finna
Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum is making cultural heritage more accessible by starting to publish its collections in the Finna.fi search service and by launching its own Finna view.
In Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum’s Finna view, visitors can explore a collection of more than 300 objects from the Strengberg Tobacco Museum. The collection originally belonged to Amer-Tupakka Oy and includes, among other things, tobacco boxes and pipes, as well as fire-making tools, matches, and lighters. The Strengberg Tobacco Museum is owned by the City of Jakobstad and managed by Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum. The Tobacco Museum is the only museum of its kind in Finland and offers a unique insight into the cultural history of tobacco.
